I have great appreciation for all those users who have supported and encouraged the development of the Sambar Server over the years. But the time has come to move on to other pursuits. I do not forsee any future releases or support for the Sambar Server. My sincere apologies toward those that this inconveniences. The technologies developed with the server will most certainly live on. I hope to offer some new and innovative products in the future.

7.0 Production (March 14, 2007)

The 7.0 Production release is now available for Windows and Linux. The upgrade can be retrieved by Pro licensees from the System Administration pages.

The 7.0 release features support for XMPP/Jabber and has been tested with Jabber 1.X, Ejabberd, and Google Talk. All 6.X licenses will be honored in the 7.0 release. Licenses purchased after October, 2006 from www.regnow.com have both the 6.X and 7.X license keys enabled and will receive all 7.X upgrades. All 6.X license users may upgrade to 7.0 production releases; subsequent 7.X releases will require upgrading to a 7.X license. To download the 7.0 beta, use the System Administration Update form (preview release).

6.4 Production (June 20, 2006)

The 6.4 production release is now available. Many thanks to those folks who have been testing this deployment. Patch releases to the 6.4 distribution will be distributed periodically using the System Administration "Update" tab (for Pro Licensees). All 6.X licensees receive the 6.4 upgrade at no charge.

6.3 Production (January 18, 2006)

The major features of the 6.3 release include document manager enhancements, system administration improvements (reporting, dynamic configuration, enable and disable of servers and services, RSS feeds), blog, photo gallery and address book enhancements. In addition, a new "Friends" feature can be enabled that allows users to associate friend accounts with their login. Finally, there is a server-to-server and client-server synchronization mechanism now available as well.
